Synthetic absorbable braided surgical suture made from polyglycolic acid polymer with surface coating that is non-antigenic and non-fibroproductive. The violet-dyed suture causes minimal acute inflammatory tissue reaction and undergoes gradual tensile strength loss and absorption through hydrolysis, retaining 75% strength at 14 days and 50% at 3 weeks, with complete resorption occurring after 80-90 days. Suitable for soft tissue approximation where absorbable suture is indicated. Package contains 24 pieces of 75cm length.
