Chirlac Braided Polyglycolic Acid 4/0 DS15 45cm Violet

Chirlac Braided is a synthetic, absorbable, braided surgical suture made from polyglycolic acid polymer with a non-antigenic, non-fibroproductive surface coating. The suture causes minimal acute inflammatory tissue reaction and undergoes gradual tensile strength loss and absorption through hydrolysis, retaining 75% strength at 14 days and 50% at 3 weeks, with complete resorption occurring after 80-90 days. The violet-dyed braided filament is degraded to glycolic acid which is absorbed and metabolized, with absorption occurring through gradual loss of suture strength without visible change in filament thickness.
