Braided synthetic absorbable PGA (polyglycolic acid) surgical suture, violet, with a polycaprolactone/calcium stearate coating to support smooth tissue passage and knot security. Absorbs by hydrolysis with predictable degradation and minimal tissue reaction; complete absorption occurs in approximately 60–90 days with about 50% tensile strength remaining after 21 days. Suitable for soft tissue approximation and ligation in surgical procedures. Package contains 12 sutures of 45cm.
