Specialized dual-ended modeling instrument designed for measuring and shaping composite layer thickness in anterior restorations. The thinner conical tip is placed on enamel after layering but before polymerization to gently model the unpolymerized composite beneath, creating optimal space for the enamel composite layer (0.5-0.7mm). The thicker short end is placed horizontally on the prepared cavity margin to determine the correct amount of translucent composite for finishing, ensuring properly calibrated layers of opaque and translucent composites to prevent gray effect.
